Here is one to add to the books...
Ever driven a car that wasn't your own and dinged it, by accident? An anonymous friend has given us all this advice:
"I called MCL and they told me to call Randy at Colorworks. AMAZING! He repaired the bumper with new paint, looks BRAND NEW for only $160 and he came to MY house! SUCH A DEAL...anyone who scratches the car and doesn't ever want anyone to know (inc. husband/boyfriend) call 604-306-3908."
Thanks for the tip!

Winter Skin
Yes, yes, we all know what this is like; dry, flaky, itchy under our holiday make-up...
I used to have a fantastic dermatologist in Vancouver, Dr. Dantow, and when he retired, I started to panic. Alas, I still haven't found anyone who was the genius skin expert that he was, but I can still order the amazing creams he suggested I use online.
I absolutely swear by the products I use. My skin is incredibly sensitive, so this was a life saver for me. Most of these products are fairly affordable, except for the Face Firming Activator, but one splurge a year, I can do. Various acne breakouts are always a tough one for me, but the list below is great for keeping your skin fresh, moisturized, light and tight.
For staying "young" I use:
ADVANCED FACE FIRMING ACTIVATOR
ALPHA LIPOIC ACID 5%
(PERRICONE)
For my daily sunscreen which is the BEST on the market, I use ELTA MD. I would avoid La Roche sunscreen as many a friend, including myself, have found we breakout from the expensive screen. Sad, but true. This, however, works like a charm, doesn't feel heavy and is sans odour! How great is that??
ELTA MD UV SUNSHIELD 45 SPF
For a light moisturizer, I would go with the following:
ULTRA LIGHT HYDRATING CREAM
I have used the DCL eye cream which is fine, but if anyone has any other suggestions, feel free to share!

Oh Lords!
Hi Ladies,
Ms. Monica would like you all to know the following info on a deal she found...
"Lord's Shoes on Granville and 14th also has a sale...
Ask for Jacqueline. She is the owner and the best person with customers I have ever known... :)"
http://www.lordsshoes.ca/
I love my red shoes from Freedmans, by the way. I think it makes me stronger which might make me more opinionated, according to my boyfriend who "loves" my strong opinions...um...right. Thats what red shoes will do to you!!

Granville: The Source for Shoe Excellence
Ladies,
I know what you are thinking...a shopping blog from Ms. Heels? Well, 'tis the shoe season...in my world. Look, LA was great for shopping, so now I am bitterly depressed at the lack of fantastic deals in Canada, so every time I see a deal, I must share! They should have me on that show "The Shopping Bags."
I'm not a big fan of spending for fun, but my modo is as follows: Fiscal responsibility, except when it comes to shoes on sale.
Ok, courtesy of ma mere...
There is a shoe sale at Ronson's Rack on Granville as well as at Freedman shoes. Ronsons=comfort. Freedman=fashion. Ronsons+Freedman=sooooooo good.
My mother called me this morning from work to tell me. Is she skipping out at recess or something? I saw her call display and my immediate thought was "oh no, there is an emergency!" Yikes! Alas, no. She is just encouraging my shoe habit. I don't have red pumps, though, and every self respecting woman needs a pair of red pumps according to "What not to Wear" which I watched plenty of this weekend while sick.
Go get em' girls, but if you are a size 9, like me, wait until tomorrow AFTER I have gone...just kidding...sort of.
